Rednote to Postifys Setup Guide

This guide is for non-technical users. Follow each step in order, then send the final checklist to the admin after your first Rednote download is complete.

Before You Start

Keep these ready before you begin. The setup is easier when all accounts are already available.

Only connect accounts you own or have permission to manage. Keep passwords and API keys private.

1

Download and Sign Up for WeChat

Install WeChat from the App Store or Google Play. Create your account, verify your phone number if asked, and keep the app logged in.

You are ready when WeChat opens normally and you can access your account.

2

Download Rednote and Sign Up with WeChat

Install Rednote, also known as Xiaohongshu. Choose the WeChat login option and finish the signup steps inside Rednote.

You are ready when you can browse Rednote content in the phone app.

3

Open the Rednote Dashboard

Go to rednote.postifys.com and sign in with the account details provided by the admin.

Admin message to users: I will provide your dashboard username and password. Keep these private.

4

Connect Postifys

Save your Postifys API key on the dashboard and refresh the connected publishing accounts.

You are ready when the dashboard lists the accounts you want to publish to.

5

Open noVNC and Login to Rednote

Click Open noVNC in the dashboard. This opens the private browser running on the VPS. Login to Rednote there, usually by scanning the QR code with your phone.

Important: being logged in on your phone is not enough. Rednote must also be logged in inside noVNC.

You are ready when Rednote profile pages open normally inside noVNC.

6

Create Your Postifys Account

Go to postifys.com, create an account, and sign in.

You are ready when you can open the Postifys dashboard.

7

Prepare Facebook and Instagram

Create or use a Facebook Page. Create or use an Instagram professional or business account, then connect that Instagram account to the Facebook Page.

Inside Postifys, connect your Facebook and Instagram channels.

You are ready when both Facebook and Instagram appear as connected channels in Postifys.

8

Copy Your Postifys API Key

In Postifys, open the API or settings area, create or copy your API key, and keep it private.

Do not send this API key in chat unless the admin specifically asks. Paste it only into the Rednote dashboard connection box.

9

Connect Postifys to the Rednote Dashboard

Go back to rednote.postifys.com. Paste the Postifys API key into the Postifys box and click Connect Postifys.

If accounts do not appear immediately, click Refresh accounts.

You are ready when the dashboard shows your connected Postifys accounts.

10

Find a Rednote Profile Link

Open the Rednote app on your phone. Find the creator or profile you want to process, then copy the Rednote profile link.

Use public content that you have permission to process and repost. Private or unavailable links may fail.

11

Start Processing

Paste the Rednote link into the Rednote dashboard and click Start Processing. Watch Recent Jobs for progress.

You are ready for the next step when the metadata job is complete.
